Congregations for Kids: Uniting the Church, Transforming the Lives of Vulnerable Children

CFK was born out of response to Charlotte’s foster care crisis. It was a direct answer to a call made by the local government and a unique church/state partnership was created.

The HEARTest Yard Foundation

The HEARTest Yard assists families as they settle into their new lives as parents of children with congenital heart disease. The services are deducted from a predetermined medical benefit and are used at the family’s discretion. The program is intended to be an extension of the world-class medical care offered at Levine Children's Hospital.

The Isabella Santos Foundation

The generosity of our community businesses has enabled the Isabella Santos Foundation to produce tangible results, and those results are changing lives. It’s simple. We are working to fund a leading-edge rare pediatric cancer program, increase survival rates for kids with cancer and elevate Levine Children’s Hospital as the national expert in pediatric oncology.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

As the leading source of free blood cancer information, education and support for patients, survivors, families and healthcare professionals, LLS helps patients navigate their cancer treatment and ensures they have access to quality, affordable and coordinated care. Research will help us achieve an end to cancer. In the meantime, patients need help before, during and after their diagnosis and treatment. LLS is the leading nonprofit that does just that.

The Susan G Komen organizations mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.

The Spokes Group

Our mission is simply to put underprivileged young people in our community on bikes! Your generosity will surely put a smile on a youngster…and a youngster on a bike. We work closely with the Salvation Army of Charlotte and the Annual Christmas Bureau.

The Purple Promise Foundation

The Purple Promise Foundation is a not-for-profit, public charity. Our primary mission is to make the public aware of the personal and public costs of melanoma cancer and ways to better identify and prevent all forms of skin cancer. Recognize and benefit melanoma cancer researchers and all others working to cure melanoma cancer or support patients and caregivers, and lead efforts to find better treatments and a cure to melanoma cancer.

The Arts Empowerment Project

The Arts Empowerment Project believes in the transformative power of art to heal and inspire children impacted by neglect and abuse. Our organization matches at-risk youth to existing art and enrichment programs in Charlotte, NC.
